"I know just how overweight kids feel, I used to be one!  That's why I developed this easy to follow program."

"I promise, if your child or teen follows the Slimkids program, they will lose weight."

Slimkids Author & Instructor

"The healthiest way to lose weight and keep it off is to combine a healthy diet with exercise," Kraemer says, warning against using unhealthy pills or fad diets.  Trends show kids are leading a sedentary lifestyle.  "They sit all day at school and then come home to TV, video games and junk food."

Parents should play an important role in their child's weight loss effort.  If your child is overweight, don't explain it away as "baby fat".  Chances are, the problem won't go away.  Ignoring your child's weight problem can lead to more serious problems in the future.

"By helping your child lose weight you can boost their self-esteem and give him or her a healthy, happy way to live that will literally be life-changing," Kraemer said.

Kraemer's Slimkids program offers easy, inexpensive, healthy ways for kids teens to drop pounds:

  • Turn off the TV and turn on a healthier lifestyle.  Studies show overweight kids watch more than 2 hours of TV per day.
  • Walking pets is a fun way for kids to get exercise.  It's fun for the pets too!
  • Don't skip meals or try to starve yourself to lose weight, it just doesn't work!  In the long run, you get so hungry you eat more!
  • Step on the scale only once a week.  Be weight conscious, not weight obsessed.
